How it Cleans

  1. A series of strategically located unobtrusive nozzles are flush-mounted in your pool floor.
  2. In a carefully orchestrated, automatically regulated, and completely silent sequence, each rotating nozzle pops up in turn.
  3. Throughout the sequence, powerful streams of freshly filtered water push dirt and debris into the Vantage collection zone.
  4. A fixed nozzle then pushes the dirt and debris into the main drain where it is collected in the debris canister.

With more than 10,000 Compass Vantage pools in the ground, we know the Compass Vantage operating system works. It works extremely well. Vantage offers you more than superior cleaning. It delivers the total package in the care of your pool water.

You can see and feel the difference of a Compass Vantage pool!

For everyone, pools are a great source of fun. They are wonderfully relaxing and perfect for low impact healthy exercise. And for some, cleaning the pool is part of the fun. For everyone else, the Compass Vantage pool cleans itself.

Vantage makes it easy to swim in a cleaner, healthier pool

Water needs to flow. Water must flow. In its natural state, water is constantly moving. When it stops it stagnates and becomes contaminated with algae and bacteria. Like a mount stream, a Compass Vantage system regularly circulates and constantly refreshes the water in your pool.

The sun ‘burns off’ your vital and valuable pool chemicals. Unlike conventional pool circulation systems, the Vantage system circulates your pool from bottom to top. All of the layers of the pool water are penetrated, eliminating ‘dead spots’ where algae and bacteria grow. With Vantage you make dramatic savings on chemical usage while enjoying a cleaner, healthier pool.

A Compass Vantage pool is the pool you’ll love to own…

  • Vantage means you don’t need a pool vacuum to clean your pool
  • Vantage is factory engineered into your custom made pool
  • Vantage works under the principle ‘Set & Forget’
  • Vantage keeps your pool water fresh as these are self cleaning swimming pools so you don’t need to worry about bacteria and algae
  • Vantage makes owning a pool 100% easier compared with a conventional pool

Safer, Cleaner, Healthier

Inefficient pool circulation and heating

Traditional systems only push water across the top of the pool, with the deeper water left under-circulated.
Heat and chemicals are dispatched by the wind and by sun “burn-off”

In a traditional pool, water is poorly circulated. This leaves your pool with cold spots and a place for algae and bacteria to grow.

Compass Vantage for superior circulation and heating

Water is cycling constantly throughout the pool, thoroughly mixing pool chemicals. This significantly reduces the need for chemicals.
The Vantage system, unlike traditional systems, circulates from the main drain and skimmer box. All water is properly circulated eliminating cold spots and algae.

Effective water circulation makes your pool safer, warmer, cleaner and healthier.

COMPASS VANTAGE POOL 5redstars

The effect of heat and chemicals escaping at the surface is greatly reduced as Vantage returns treated water to the floor of your pool

This results in better management of chemical mixing, dramatically reducing power and consumption

Vantage acts as a passive solar heating system, resulting in better maintenance of water temperature and reduced heating costs

With the immediate paybacks in health and enjoyment, and the savings in operating costs, a Compass Vantage pool is your best investment

TRADITIONAL POOL 2redstars

Traditional pool design uses old fashioned methods of returning filtered water back to the pool through inlets near the surface

This does not put the heated and chemically treated water on the bottom of the pool where it is needed

Heat and chemicals near the surface are quickly dissipated by the wind and by sun ‘burn off’

Tests show conventionally heated pools consume up to 50% more chemicals and 40% more energy than heated pools with in-floor systems

How it Compares

For some, cleaning the pool is part of the fun. For everyone else, the Compass Vantage pool cleans itself!

Traditional Pool Cleaning

Compass Vantage Self Cleaning

The most popular cleaning systems used in backyard swimming pools today are 1) suction cleaners, 2) robotic cleaners, and 3) in-floor cleaning systems.

When comparing these 3 types of cleaning systems, there are a number of important measures, beyond the obvious ability to clean your pool.

Your Time

How much of your precious TIME does it take to operate each system properly?

Suction cleaners and robotic cleaners are best described as semi-automatic cleaning systems. Once YOU have unpacked them from their hiding place, they need to be positioned in the pool and either connected to a suction point (suction cleaners) or connected to a power point (robotic cleaners). To unpack, install, and then remove your semiautomatic cleaning system will take at least 20 minutes of your precious TIME on each occasion. During summer, when you’re using your pool the most, this can be a daily task.

In-floor cleaning systems are the only truly automatic cleaning systems, because they are permanently installed, and operate automatically on a daily basis.

Running Costs

How much of your hard-earned MONEY does it take to operate each system properly?

Pool running costs include electricity to run the various pumps, and chemicals to balance and sanitise the water. So it only makes sense to consider both costs when comparing the 3 types of cleaning systems. As each cleaning system operates differently, we have based electricity costs on achieving a standard turnover rate of pool water. It is generally accepted that pool water should be turned over twice a day to achieve good filtration.

Having worked out the electricity costs, we then need to consider the chemical costs, once again this varies with each type of cleaning system. Only the in-floor cleaning system sucks water from both the surface (skimmer box) and the floor (main drain) and returns freshly sanitised water to the floor (in-floor nozzles) to achieve top-tobottom circulation. This results in more effective sanitisation of the pool water with up to 50% less chemical costs.

“Vantage saves you up to $600 a year in annual running costs”

But the biggest difference is cleaner, healthier water from Vantage circulation

Why you’ll love it

janet-wong“When we told our friends and neighbours that we were putting in a pool, the first thing they said was ‘you’ll be sorry!! It’ll cost you a fortune to maintain and take up all your spare time”

We had our Compass Pool installed in September 2008. We did our research before choosing a company and one of the reasons we chose Compass Pools was because of the Vantage pool cleaning system. We’d never heard of such a system before and were intrigued by the concept. The thought of not having to have a creepy crawly style vacuum thingy was very appealing!

We put in a 6.7m Bi-luminite Ceramic Composite pool with a sand filter, self-cleaning chlorinator, swim jet and a Vantage in-floor self-cleaning system. The three pumps sit side by side.

We can honestly say that it was the best decision we could have made to install it. We have the system on a timer so that it turns on at the same time as the pool pump as it is most efficient when they run concurrently.

Our pool floor and walls remain spotless. The nozzles pop up and down and rotate in a sequence pushing all debris either to the drain at the end of the pool or into the skimmer box. The water is constantly circulating which means that the temperature of the water remains even throughout the whole pool (not warm on top and cold at the bottom) I empty the two skimmer baskets once a week.

We have also found that we rarely have to add chemicals. We get the water tested regularly and apart from having to add salt from time to time, we have only had to add small amounts of acid/ buffer or stabiliser about 5 times in 3 years. This is a huge saving and has more than compensated for the initial cost of the system.

We spend our leisure time enjoying the pool, not maintaining it. It is brilliant and we would unreservedly recommend the Vantage system to anyone installing a pool. You won’t regret it.”

Australia’s most prestigious swimming pool industry awards, SPASA awarded Compass Pools dealers with the National Gold, Silver and Bronze- all three of these pools were Compass Vantage Self Cleaning Pools.

You’ve had a Compass Vantage self-cleaning pool for 2 years now, why is the Vantage system important to you?

I have owned a pool before, I know what it’s like to have a pool without the Vantage system. I just don’t have the time to deal with cleaning and maintenance – that’s why I got the Compass Vantage system, so I don’t have to clean the pool.

Being a builder, did you need to look around for a pool… how did you come to choose a Compass Pool?

“Ted. I have known Ted Martin (owner of Compass Pools Victoria) for years. Ted is great. The pool he had suited me right down to the ground. In fact, I designed the house around the pool.”

– Don Allen, Hotondo Homes Inverloch Pty Ltd. Builder with 40 year’s experience in the industry.

“Local Pools has the best display centre in town. That’s one of the reasons we went with them.”

“Growing up, Jason always had a pool. This time round we wanted a pool that didn’t come with all the maintenance…We didn’t know anyone who had a self-cleaning pool, but knew for sure we didn’t want to have to be cleaning it…”

“After a year of owning the pool, the in-floor cleaning system couldn’t have made life any easier. It’s just wonderful – you don’t have to touch it.”

–  Jason and Amanda Fog, Glenmore Park, NSW

“We have had our pool now for just over two years and it has dramatically changed our lifestyle. I must admit that my wife and I were both sceptical about the Vantage system and how well it would clean the pool, particularly as we have a large number of gum trees which over hang the pool area. I can honestly say that in the time we have had the pool, I have never once had to clean it. The Vantage system is outstanding and I would recommend anyone looking at investing in a pool to take advantage of this technology. It truly is worth it.”
